Sheffield Vacancies: Evening jobs

People want to find evening jobs in Sheffield for a number of different reasons. It may be because they're currently in full-time education and evenings are the only opportunity they get in order to earn a bit of money. Alternatively, it may be because they feel they are a little short of money and getting an evening job would enable to do more things with the family during weekends. Whatever the reason, the process is the same.

Begin by listing approximately three different types of roles that you'd be suited to doing that are required in the evening. Different examples would be baby-sitting, gardening and courier jobs.

Once you've established your list of three, and then decide which you'd most like to do and feel best suited to.

After you've made this decision, then begin to try and find work for this role. For baby-sitting and gardening, use flyers (keep it basic, to the point) - though target areas within Sheffield where there is a need. When attempting to find baby-sitting jobs try to target areas where young families are prominent, whilst when offering your services for gardening it is important you target the upper-classes and the elderly.

Sheffield part time jobs

Clearly there are lots of reasons why Sheffield part time jobs are wanted by some people. They may be in full-time education and are not in a position to work on a full-time basis, or maybe someone is looking to wind down following a long working career as they head into retirement.

So, what are the types of jobs available? Primarily part-time jobs will be in the retail sector - essentially, working in shops. This can includes working the in a big supermarket chain such as Asda and one of the main benefits to working in a supermarket is the flexibility that you have with your hours. Clearly not everyone will require flexibility, however to those with a host of other commitments it will appeal.

Again, the message is be active in your search. Start by listing all the shops in reachable proximity that are open when your are available to work. Next begin crossing off any stores you'd be unhappy or uncomfortable working for. Finally, ask in the remaining shops on your list. Physically into the shop and ask, preferably armed with a few good references. The same principles apply as always - look presentable, be courteous and hopefully you'll succeed.

Driving jobs .. there's plenty to go round

I recently had an individual come to me after he had been made redundant at a global firm in which he was a key figure. He told me he was eager to find new employment, though having been working within this company for over two decades, he said he wasn't keen on jumping back into a highly stressful environment.

So, with that in mind, I suggested to him looking for a driving vacancy. The types of roles that are encompassed under this title would be taxi driver, removal van or courier. The role does not necessarily have to be on a full-time basis, and it could quite easily be done in conjunction with another job if you would like to go down this route.

Start the process by finding specific driving job sites that are on the internet. As usual, don't underestimate the potential of asking around those you know - you can never be sure what will come up.

Night jobs in Sheffield

There are variety of reasons why a person may need to look for evening work. Perhaps they are in full-time education, or maybe the extra cash would be greatly received.

The way to approach this is to begin establishing the types of work you could do. You've got to decide whether you would want to be a babysitter or do a courier job. I'd advise listing around three to four different roles you'd be happy to take up.

Then it becomes a case of asking around. Use the internet to your advantage - check on Gumtree whether there are people in Sheffield in need of a babysitter, for instance. It would also be beneficial to ask those you know whether they need a service and ask local shops whether there is any form of night work going.

Be active in your search and you will prevail in the end.
